# Cool Computers guide

> The official Cool Computers guide to the CLI, HTTP API, MCP connector, public addresses, and computer inboxes.

Cool Computers gives you a persistent Linux computer with a name. A computer named `bakery` has the public address `bakery.cool.computer` and the inbox `bakery@mail.cool.computer`.

Your computer stays running until you delete it. Its writable disk, name, address, and inbox stay with it. Requests to its public address reach the HTTP port you expose.
