# Open the SSH dashboard

> Open the account dashboard with OpenSSH and verify the Cool Computers host key.

You can open the account dashboard without installing the Cool Computers CLI:

```sh theme={null}
ssh cool.computer
```

## First connection

OpenSSH proves your selected public key. Cool Computers then asks for your email address and a six-digit code. After verification, later connections with that key open the dashboard directly. The SSH username is ignored.

## Verify the host

Compare the Ed25519 fingerprint before accepting the host key:

```

## Choose a key

Select one identity if OpenSSH has several available:

```sh theme={null}
ssh -o IdentitiesOnly=yes -i ~/.ssh/id_ed25519 cool.computer
```

Create an Ed25519 key with `ssh-keygen -t ed25519` if you do not have one.

## Limits of this endpoint

`ssh cool.computer` opens the account dashboard. The endpoint does not accept remote commands, file transfer, or forwarding. Use `cool enter name` or `cool ssh name` to work inside a computer.

The `cool.computer` SSH endpoint is currently IPv4-only.
